Regions Internet Service recently acquired Fusion High Speed. Coverage areas include Marathon and Deerfield Townships which are located in Lapeer County. They don’t post a coverage map on their site, so???

We had not heard good things when they were Fusion… anyone have any experiance with Region?

Charter Internet

We have many clients in the Lapeer City and Lapeer Township areas that are happy with their service with Charter. They also have some limited coverage in Notth Branch, mostly along Burnside Road and into the village along Jefferson.

Sorry, but I can not recommend this wireless service.

I do know a few people that have eventually been able to get them to hook up service where they were the only option, but have had constant problems with them. Down several times a month for no reason, poor quality of service when needed, and even getting shut down without notice for overuse (they say).

If you’re really desperate, you could give them a try, but it might be better to just move - sorry.

This wireless point to point internet provider services much of Lapeer County, including parts of Lapeer City, Attica, Dryden, Metamora, and Almont.

No phone line required for wireless service. There is no subscriber equipment to buy or rent.

Check to see if Air Advantage Wireless Internet is available at your location using their interactive coverage map - they do service other areas - warning, you need to be patient when you call these guys, they are a small company without a huge staff, but if you can get a good quality signal you should be happy with their quality of service.

Verizon DSL

If you are in the city, you might be able to get DSL through Verizon. Their service is one of the most reliable I am aware of, it’s just not able to get much past the city.
