I ordered the slowest speed (512kbps down) from regions over a year ago, because they were the only company available in my area. The speed is the same, no matter what package you pay for. I have friends that have the faster speeds, and I download the same, consistently 1 meg. The service is spotty, slow, and overpriced. $50 per month for 1 meg? Crap. All they do is split charter lines amongst their customers and sit back and make $$$. I have a charter IP address so I know that. Bad customer service as well. I wish I had options.

I started with Fusion and went through the transition to Regions. Same old thing. Sometimes it's blazing fast, but when you need it, it's not there. I don't think it's their local network, but they have problems with their connections. If you want to work from home and need a VPN don't even bother with this company, first thing they will do is charge you $20.00 extra for a static IP, it's just too slow that way. Recently, the email went away, I don't think that they renewed their contract with 1&1 email, sure screwed me up. As soon as my contract is up I'm outta' there. Starband has come down in price, maybe I'll try them.
