I live near the corner of Newark and Force Rd. in Attica. So far I know I of no high speed providers in our area. The phone co. and cable co even have the old lines so nothing here - the closest we get it is a dial up of 53kbps -wo who! I’ve asked when someone’s going to upgrade the lines and I get the run around. Seriously the neighbors (just everyone I talk to out here) and I are DESPERATE for highspeed. I know we can get hughes net but is there any other option out here?

qix has a tower on Lk. George that should cover you if you can get them to return your calls - http://lapeerinternet.com/attica/qix

JJ, I live at newark and summers and cant get crap either but I do use sprintpcs its a little expensive at 60 a month but what are you to do when there is nothing else. you use a novatel 740 i think it plugs into your usb hub and it uses the cell towers so far i love it not as good as cable but you get a decent 1mb download i can watch youtube and other videos with no interuptions and it goes from website to website real quick WAY better than dial up i would compare it to the other providers in the area and yes qix.net sucks they dont answer calls and seem like they dont care about getting business

I am thinking of going with this Mobile broadband from PC Lapeer @ 59.99 a month then I will go buy this new Magic Jack for our telephone service for 19.99 a year…and then get a converter box and do away with Charter and all the people they send you to in India once and for all. I think this should save us a good 70 bucks a month! Any feedback…or horror stories on this plan?
